While the majority of cards on our site are free, we reserve a small section of special cards for BirthdayCards.com Premium Members. Premium members also receive other card editing features such as the ability to customize the music and design of some cards.

There are multiple reasons a card may not have been received:

  • Was the card sent by our systems yet? If you chose a future date to send the card, it will not be sent until approximately 9 AM EST on that date. We choose 9 AM so that it is more likely to arrive while a person is on their computer. Cards sent "TODAY" will be sent relatively quickly.

  • Did you enter their address correctly? Over 10% of cards sent have an incorrect email address. The most common errors are mistyping some characters in the address or typing the wrong extension (after the @ symbol). If you received the notice indicating the email was sent, you should view the card and double check that the address you entered was correct.

  • Does the receiving person have spam filters turned on? While we make every effort to make sure our cards are not blocked as spam, some people do have extremely aggressive spam filters or have special email setups that do not accept email from addresses they have not seen before. You may want to ask them to check their "blocked" box to see if it arrived or not or ask them to allow emails from "@birthdaycards.com".

  • Lastly, there may be a problem with the receiving persons email server. In these cases our email servers will re-try to deliver a few times over the next few days and the message may arrive once the remote site is working properly. Also, we automatically send reminders for unclaimed cards after 5-7 days.

In general we send reminders for unclaimed cards after 5-7 days, so the receiver may received the card at that time if they did not already receive it.

Premium Members can track sent and received cards on a special page in our site as well as cancel and resend cards easily.
